Making Room

As we head into 2016 many of us have made a resolutions to do something – go to the gym, stop smoking, loose weight and so on.

Well, I’m not going to be make a resolutions this year.  I’m going to be making room.  I going to be making room in my home, work and life for the things I want.  The challenge is how to make room when I already have so much “stuff” physical and emotional in my home, work and life.

The easy answer is to throw it all out, right?  Not exactly.  I’m not about to getting rid of the things I love, but there are plenty of things physical and emotional I can do without.

So then the questions becomes, once I make room what am I going to fill the space with.  Well, I’m not sure I want to fill all the space I hope to create, however some it will naturally be filled with the little things life brings our way each and every day.

As I go through this process, which I plan on taking slowly over the next few months, I’m hoping to make more room for family, friends, new memories and more smiles.  What will you be making room for in 2016?

Saying Good-Bye to 2015

As 2015 comes to an end it’s a good time reflect on the past 12 months and look forward to the next.

Like most years 2015 had both ups and downs.

The ups were my parents coming out for a visit, a great family vacation, my niece graduating high school and heading off to college. Of course there were new friends, clients I met and new place I went which is always exciting and blessed.

The  biggest moment of 2015 had to be moving the boutique and social club to our new location.  So many people helped, I was just overcome with everyone’s willingness to help support me – thank you!

The downs were feeling the full loss of a year without my grandfather, several friend who we lost along the way, especially Charlotte Beebe, who we lost in a horrible accident.  We all miss you greatly  dear Charlotte.  We of course lost client who moved away or choose to trying a different path.

Over all 2015 was not a great year, but it wasn’t bad either.  2015 was just a year, with a few things we’ll want to remember and a few we’ll happily forget.

2016 however is looking very exciting, there is a great new energy in our space, new clients, soon to be friends are coming in, several friends are preparing for exciting personal journeys and I even have a couple things planned for myself.

What was your 2015 like? what were your up or downs?  What are you looking forward to in 2016?
